My Journey: From Cardio Bunny to Confident Lifter And Now, Your Pro-Ageing Coach
I’ve always been into exercise, even as a kid, I was on every school athletics team. But back then, I didn’t think of it as “exercise” it was just fun, part of life. That changed in my late teens. Around 18, I started going out more, drinking, eating whatever I wanted, and exercise slipped away. I didn’t gain loads of weight, but enough that I didn’t feel like me anymore. My confidence dropped. I wasn’t comfortable in my body , and for the first time, I noticed. At 19, I had my first son, and throughout my 20s, I got back into the gym , but like most women back then, I became a total cardio bunny. Running, cross-trainer, bike , I avoided the weights section like the plague. I lived off fresh air and Special K, convinced that “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” was the goal. That toxic 90s mentality had its grip on me. Then, after having my daughter at 29, something shifted. I was still running three times a week, but I stumbled across a kettlebell workout one day and thought , why not? I gave it a go. Three months later, I was shocked. I was leaner, stronger, more defined , and I hadn’t spent hours pounding the treadmill. But if I’m honest, I took it too far. Looking back at photos now, I was too skinny. Then came the moment everything clicked. At 32, I was training in my local gym and glanced around , the men who were ripped, strong, full of muscle? None of them were near the cardio machines. They were all in the weights room. I suddenly realised: that’s where I needed to be. Not grinding away on the treadmill, but building real strength. So I booked my first personal training session and I never looked back. From that moment on, I threw myself into learning everything I could. I studied, experimented, researched, and by 36, I’d qualified as a personal trainer. I’ve been lifting heavy and loving it ever since. But then… something changed again. At 42, the same workouts, the same nutrition, the same habits , they stopped working. The weight started creeping on, my energy dipped, and I felt like I was working twice as hard for half the results. That’s when I realised: what worked in our 30s doesn’t necessarily work after 40. So once again, I went back to learning. I dived into hormone health, metabolism, muscle preservation, recovery, real food nutrition , all of it. And I finally found the missing link: a strategy that actually supports women through perimenopause and beyond. Now, I live it, and I teach it. It’s not about starving yourself or chasing a number on the scale. It’s about building strength, fuelling your body, balancing your hormones, and feeling amazing from the inside out. And if you’re ready to feel like yourself again , to feel strong, clear, confident, and in control , I would be honoured to guide you.

This ebook is an absolute game-changer! It's so refreshing to read something that actually feels achievable for all types of women. It doesn't overcomplicate things and its not patronising, like some can be. Packed with motivation, hacks, hints and tips. I've already noticed a difference since making some changes in only a short time. Would definitely recommend! KM
